Ghosts was the fourth single of Smile, Karlos Dergal’s second album. This songs talks about an spiritist that talks with death people who want to reach their beloved ones. His girlfriend dies and he couldn’t stand listening to her voice so he commits suicide. Since then now we all listen to his laments. A love song with inspiration on the supernatural.
He didn’t rested in peace.
His beating heart resisted
To lie, to die, to leave his love behind.
His life in flesh was based
On helping the deceased
Unplaced that missed
On Earth unfinished things.
He could hear their prayers and their laments.
Begging for his help, for salvation.
Ghosts are everywhere, come and listen
Screams and dragging chains, don’t you fear!
Ghosts are not compared on the monsters
They just want to care for their lovers.
The best of all the girls he met was one of curls
His helper, his lover, the reason for his days.
Someday she left her feet, she raised upon the street.
God took her, he hugged her.
But never outstripped.
He could hear her prayers and her laments
Begging for his love for salvation.
Ghosts are everywhere, come and listen
Screams and dragging chains, don’t you fear!
Ghosts are not compared on the monsters
They just want to care for their lovers.
He didn’t wanna live if he can’t smell her breath.
So he became the thief who stole his plenty health.
We could hear his prayers and his laments.
Begging for our help, for salvation.
Ghosts are everywhere, come and listen
Screams and dragging chains, don’t you fear!
Ghosts are not compared on the monsters.
They just want to care for their lovers.
Ghosts are everywhere, come and listen
Screams and dragging chains, don’t you fear!
Ghosts are not compared on the monsters.
They just want to care for their lovers.
